Michael is a seasoned attorney with over 35 years of experience in corporate law, tax and estate planning, asset protection, and audit defense. He has tried cases in state, federal, and tax courts, and has argued before appellate courts at both levels. Michael advises families and businesses on tax strategy and asset protection, and has represented clients ranging from growth-stage companies to venture capital groups.

A CCH-certified audit defense professional, Michael lectures nationwide on tax law and has served as an expert witness in legal and accounting malpractice cases. He holds degrees in accounting and finance from Miami University, a law degree from Valparaiso University, a master’s in taxation from John Marshall Law School, and a certificate in international law from Notre Dame in London. His work has been featured in Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, and Top Attorneys of North America.

Michael is active in legal, educational, and charitable organizations, including serving as a former school board president and a member of the American and International Bar Associations. He is currently pursuing a graduate degree in history from the University of Oxford.
